LS Car Meet • Drag
Drag Races
Short LS Car Meet races for 1–4 players. Results come from tyre preparation, launch timing, manual shifts and repeating the process across rounds.

Drag Races
Buy LS Car Meet membership in Cypress Flats, then choose Drag Races from Rockstar Created/the Meet series when present in the Jobs menu.
The mode supports 1–4 players. The host chooses class and vehicles; the ordinary Job has no start fee.
Check membership and Rockstar Created. Do not look for the Sprint icon—Drag is a separate Job, not a challenge launched inside the warehouse.

01 • First completion, step by step
First completion, step by step
01 Enter the Drag Job
- ACTION
- Choose a Drag Race and check class, round count and vehicle settings.
- TIP
- Use a car with a predictable launch on the first run.
- RISK / FAILURE CONDITION
- A wheelspin-heavy car makes learning shift points harder.
- HOW TO RECOVER THE RUN
- Switch to a supplied or more stable car before readying up.
02 Prepare the tyres
- ACTION
- Complete tyre preparation according to the prompt and settle in the start box.
- TIP
- A controlled burnout matters more than maximum smoke.
- RISK / FAILURE CONDITION
- Overshooting the start box ruins positioning for the countdown.
- HOW TO RECOVER THE RUN
- Reverse according to the prompt or let the round reset positioning.
03 Hit the launch
- ACTION
- React to the signal and feed in throttle to control wheelspin.
- TIP
- Watch the launch indicator rather than the rival's car.
- RISK / FAILURE CONDITION
- Moving too early or applying full throttle can lose the round.
- HOW TO RECOVER THE RUN
- Finish the round and use the next one to correct reaction; the format provides multiple attempts.
04 Shift gears
- ACTION
- Make manual shifts in the optimal indicator band rather than watching speed alone.
- TIP
- Repeat the shift rhythm every round.
- RISK / FAILURE CONDITION
- An early or late shift loses acceleration across the straight.
- HOW TO RECOVER THE RUN
- Do not quit after one poor shift; finish and correct that gear in the next round.
05 Close the rounds
- ACTION
- Repeat launch and shifts through the format, then wait for Job settlement.
- TIP
- Note which gear repeatedly costs time.
- RISK / FAILURE CONDITION
- Leaving after one round interrupts the complete result.
- HOW TO RECOVER THE RUN
- Stay to the end or launch a new short Job after the result screen.
02 • Variants and mechanics
Variants and mechanics
Launch and traction
1–4Each round after tyre preparation.
- OBJECTIVE
- Make a clean launch without excessive wheelspin.
- MECHANIC
- Reaction and throttle modulation matter more than contact.
- COMPLETION
- Transition into the shifting phase.
- HOW TO RECOVER THE RUN
- After a weak launch, finish the round and change throttle input next time.
Multi-round format
1–4Round count set by the Job.
- OBJECTIVE
- Build the best overall result through consistency.
- MECHANIC
- One mistake need not end the whole Job.
- COMPLETION
- Result screen after the complete round set.
- HOW TO RECOVER THE RUN
- Correct one item at a time—the launch or one shift—rather than changing the whole rhythm.
03 • Real roles / Strategies
Real roles i Strategies
Host
Chooses class and series length and should allow time for vehicle selection.
Driver
Personally handles burnout, launch and shifts; there are no artificial team roles.
Use a stable car, moderate burnout and focus on one shift indicator. Treat the first round as calibration.
Repeat the same preparation and launch rhythm, analyse a specific gear and choose the car for traction rather than headline power.
04 • Reward and economic status
Informational — no universal base rate
Cash and RP depend on the result and Job configuration. Rockstar does not publish one current base table, so this activity is informational rather than rankable.
Observed range specific to this activity; variant, result, duration or completion condition selects the value within it. Event multipliers are excluded.
C • community-reportedThe formula and roles apply to the stated settlement unit; event multipliers are excluded.

Common mistakes and recovery
Full throttle from zero
Feed in throttle to limit wheelspin and regain traction.
Assuming automatic shift rhythm
Watch each shift indicator; the mode requires active input.
Quitting after a lost round
Complete the format—later rounds can recover the result.
