First completion, step by step

  1. 01

    Start: Round elimination

    ACTION
Choose an LTS and check rounds and teams.
    TIP
Do not trade a life for one kill: hold shared cover and learn the map's restricted loadout first.
    RISK / FAILURE CONDITION
If the “Two teams; up to 30 players where the map/platform supports it.” gate is not met, Round elimination will not save the intended progression.
    HOW TO RECOVER THE RUN
Enable matchmaking and choose another Rockstar Created LTS if the lobby lacks the minimum players.
  2. 02

    Last Team Standing index

    ACTION
Split into anchor and flank and agree a regroup point.
    TIP
Confirm “Round elimination” before the first launch, then progress to “Open and close-quarter arenas” through the index.
    RISK / FAILURE CONDITION
Choosing an entry outside the Last Team Standing index changes the mechanics or does not save this strand.
    HOW TO RECOVER THE RUN
After death use spectating/comms; living players fall back to shared cover.
  3. 03

Flow: Round elimination → Open and close-quarter arenas

    ACTION
Preserve lives: information and numbers matter more than a fast trade.
    TIP
The anchor preserves the last life and information; the flanker moves only after contact, and a lead forces the enemy to move.
    RISK / FAILURE CONDITION
Adapt the formation to each arena's cover and sight lines. Losing the objective before the last checkpoint requires a restart from the save.
    HOW TO RECOVER THE RUN
After death use spectating/comms; living players fall back to shared cover.
  4. 04

    Settle Open and close-quarter arenas

    ACTION
Finish “Open and close-quarter arenas”, remain through the result screen and confirm this family's progress save.
    TIP
After settlement verify that Last Team Standing marks its final entry complete.
    RISK / FAILURE CONDITION
Leaving before the “Open and close-quarter arenas” result can forfeit progression or reward.
    HOW TO RECOVER THE RUN
Replay “Open and close-quarter arenas” as the correct host/operator and wait for the full session return.
  5. 05

    Last Team Standing replay

    ACTION
Return to: Pause → Online → Jobs → Play Job → Rockstar Created → Last Team Standing. Then choose a named indexed entry rather than a random family.
    TIP
Do not trade a life for one kill: hold shared cover and learn the map's restricted loadout first.
    RISK / FAILURE CONDITION
A missing “Round elimination” indicates an unmet gate or different pool, not permanent removal of the whole family.
    HOW TO RECOVER THE RUN
Enable matchmaking and choose another Rockstar Created LTS if the lobby lacks the minimum players.

02 • Variants and mechanics

Variants and mechanics

Round elimination

2–30 depending on the Job/map

Pause → Online → Jobs → Play Job → Rockstar Created → Last Team Standing.

OBJECTIVE
Eliminate the opposing team while keeping at least one teammate alive.
MECHANIC
Keep at least one teammate alive, build an information advantage and eliminate the last opponent without respawns.
COMPLETION
A round ends when one team has no living player; the match settles after the configured rounds.
HOW TO RECOVER THE RUN
After death communicate positions through spectating; the living player falls back and avoids a one-for-one trade.

Restricted-loadout maps

2–30 depending on the Job/map

Pause → Online → Jobs → Play Job → Rockstar Created → Last Team Standing.

OBJECTIVE
Collect map weapons and vehicles instead of relying on a personal loadout.
MECHANIC
Map weapon and vehicle pickups, secure a safe loadout before contact and do not assume access to personal weapons.
COMPLETION
Victory requires eliminating the other team with the resources available on that map.
HOW TO RECOVER THE RUN
If the enemy controls the main pickup, rotate around and use a secondary weapon instead of feeding the position.

Open and close-quarter arenas

2–30 depending on the Job/map

Pause → Online → Jobs → Play Job → Rockstar Created → Last Team Standing.

OBJECTIVE
Adapt the formation to each arena's cover and sight lines.
MECHANIC
Read the arena's cover lanes, keep cross-supporting angles and move only after the enemy position is known.
COMPLETION
This variant is decided by the last team alive, not by the number of aggressive pushes.
HOW TO RECOVER THE RUN
After losing a position pull all survivors to the next line; do not attempt to retake the old angle alone.

03 • Real roles / Strategies

Real roles i Strategies

Real roles

Anchor

Holds a safe position and the last life.

Real roles

Flanker

Flanks after the enemy position is confirmed.

SAFE FIRST RUN

Do not trade a life for one kill: hold shared cover and learn the map's restricted loadout first.

ADVANCED

The anchor preserves the last life and information; the flanker moves only after contact, and a lead forces the enemy to move.

04 • Reward and economic status

Round/lobby result • outside ranking

Pay depends on the specific Job, result, time and settings. There is no single defensible family-wide table, so no sustainable $/h or event multiplier is calculated.

GTA$Last Team Standing: GTA$ = max(100, rounded to 10 [Job base × players × placing/result × duration ÷ lobby divisor × Job multiplier])

Observed range specific to this activity; variant, result, duration or completion condition selects the value within it. Event multipliers are excluded.

Bcommunity-reported
RPLast Team Standing: Rank RP = max(100, rounded to 5 [Job base × players × placing/result × duration × Job multiplier]) + action RP

The formula and roles apply to the stated settlement unit; event multipliers are excluded.

Bcommunity-reported

Repeats follow normal Job availability; one-time awards and weekly bonuses are not baseline pay.

CONFIDENCE: Mechanics A/B; no economics table

05 • Common mistakes and recovery

Common mistakes and recovery

A player assumes a personal arsenal

Read forced pickups/vehicles and mark available weapons immediately.

The team loses both lives together

Split angles while keeping mutual cover; one player remains the anchor.

There is no information after a death

Use spectating for callouts and guide the living player away from the ambush.

06 • Readiness checklist

Readiness checklist

  • I know the rounds and no-respawn rule
  • I checked the map's forced loadout
  • We have an anchor and a safe flank
  • We do not lose both players in one push
  • After death I provide spectator callouts
